The Introduction by Beat Under Control Beat Under Control : The Introduction.
Jazz/dub intense electro funk.

A whip-smart blend of instrumental electronic, jazz, dub, and funk influences, best-seller The Introduction has a great buzzy feeling to it. Ulf Ivarsson teams up with some of the most interesting players on the contemporary Swedish music scene: keyboardist Per Wiberg (Opeth, Spiritual Beggars), trumpet player Goran Kajfes {Sting, Oddjob, Nacka Forum, Blacknuss Allstars), cellist Raymond King (Chris Bailey, Page, Plant), and guitarist George Nakas (Safri Duo, Embryo Sthlm). The fantastic "Blue Lights" opens the album; Kajfes shows us how a trumpet line that might have been mournful in another track can sound deeply urbane with some effervescent rhythms set behind it. "Direction Dub" is a great track too?mellow and atmospheric but with that undercurrent of buzz that runs throughout the album. "Saturn Blues" is another highlight. It gives us great bluesy swaths of Kajfes' horn playing swirled into Ivarsson's stirred up beats and vibraphone by Wiberg.
