Delicately trippy, Eponyms is Darin Marshall's fantastic foray into the world of minimal techno. Marshall really gets the pleasures of precision; there's something about the exactitude of Eponyms that goes above and beyond the call of duty. Notes are hyper-truncated in a way that contributes to the uniquness of the sound; it's like industrial music being played on a music box from the future. There are also hints of Marshall's early infatuation with house and trance, but it's all passed through Marshall's minimailistic filters, and comes out sounding clean, clear, and lightly kinetic.
