Cari Live : In a Cosmic Daze.
Thoughtful expressions through intelligent new age.
In A Cosmic Daze
Music is our way of expressing ideas that, for whatever reason, cannot
be totally expressed or understood in any other forum. We all have had
the experience of listening to music that has touched us, but we
really can't say why and so we go on about our day effected and
somehow changed. If you try to "demystify" music you might say that it
is a collection of frequencies vibrating in certain patterns and even
on that level it is connected with our universe. Scientist talk about
string theory and how all things are vibrating strings of energy that
make up the cosmic symphony that is our physical world, so it is no
wonder that music has such a huge part in our daily lives. This
collection of songs is a musical metaphor of how time presents itself
to us.
If you have ever waited, in great anticipation, for someone to arrive or something to happen then you know that sweet emotion that
might take pages of text to explain but music can evoke that feeling
in a few seconds of listening. Bach's music makes us feel unwavering
power of life by a steady tempo and sure relentless melody. Music that
is slightly behind the beat makes us feel as though we want to hold
time back, like when someone must leave soon, but we want them to stay
just a bit longer. This collection explores those ideas.
With out clocks, the Celtic people had a keen idea of the passing and metering
of time. They regarded the "time between times" as magical moments to
be cherished. These hours were dusk and dawn, solstice and
equinox. Although in our lives we have clocks, cell phones and computers telling us the current time and day, it is important to have
a few hours to let that go and sit and smell the rain and let the
stress of the week go.
Music can do so much for us as your week builds from Monday through Sunday, these pieces can give you some
quiet time to breath and to find joy. Though music we can all relax in
our time between times and reconnect to the cosmos in a real human
way.
