Ceremony of Darkness : Flesh of the Witch.
Step into the darkness and surround yourself in intense rock.
"Flesh of the Witch" follows the emotional odyssey of a damaged
and dangerous man who finds love in the form of a darkly sensual, mysterious woman accused of witchcraft.
This epic tale allows the mood of each scene to dictate the style of the music utilized. Moving through the
genres and sub-genres of rock, heavy metal, and more traditional music styles, Ceremony of Darkness provides
a multi-layered spectrum through which the story of "Flesh of the Witch" can be experienced, rather than
forcing the story into a set of rigidly selected songs.
Based out of St. Louis, MO, Ceremony of Darkness has not taken the traditional route to success. Rather than
follow trends, they define the core of their music by its diversity which is on full display in "Flesh of the Witch."
ln 2010, Ceremony of Darkness burst onto the scene with their debut album "13" by winning Best Metal
Album in the Independent Music Awards, while also being honored with a nomination for Best Metal Song
in the Hollywood Music in Media Awards for "The Surgeon of New Orleans." Determined to build upon
the success of "13" Ceremony of Darkness endeavored to create "Flesh of the Witch," a conceptual album
designed to feature not only great individual songs, but to also provide a complex musical journey rarely
experienced in the modern age of music.
