Ehren Starks : The Depths of a Year.
Piano and cello/jazzy new age.
This is the second body of work from pianist Ehren Starks who is joined by Kate Gurba on cello.
At only age 19, Ehren wrote the entire album and approached Kate Gurba to work with him. Kate's cello adds a beautiful element that simply makes the album stand out.
"The Depths of a Year" documents a relationship. This inspiration produces a wide range of songs and emotions heavily influenced by the works of Edgar Meyer, Radiohead, and Ehren's own style. This album has yet to disappoint a single listener. It is filled with beautiful melodies and is most often considered perfect for movies. So enjoy and thank you.
To give you an idea of Ehren's influences and inspiration, his favorite bands are:
Radiohead, Wilco, Medeski Martin and Wood, The Strokes, Magnet, The Constantines, and Godspeed.
