Devastate the Details by FUR FUR : Devastate the Details.
Melodic fury meets post-punk, shoegaze, alternative.

The songs contain elements of post-punk, shoegaze, new wave, alternative, industrial and pop music.

In "Devastate The Details" four of the ten songs; "Here's to The Angels", "Pretty Thoughts", "Foxtrotsky" and "How To Put Holes in Her Happiness", were recorded during a very thought out and deliberate recording process of strict overdubbing and metronomic playing. The sound is clean, precise, full and warm.

The other six songs were recorded live on the studio floor to capture the noisier, more frantic sound the four were starting to cultivate during live sets. The resulting recordings are a bit lo-fi and muddy. Rather than overdub guitar swells, the band chose to overdub noise tracks, creating layers of feedback and reverb. The recordings as a whole are strong, supported by good playing and songwriting.
