"Daydreamin'" is a collection of pieces which I have composed in the past 15 years. Some of them were originally created for my trio (like "Riflessioni"), others for a quintet that I had in Italy ("Sagittarius" for example), or for a special performance ("Namibia").

After moving to Paris, France, I was looking for musicians who would share with me a special empathy. I was struck by Antoine and Nicolas, who were playing together at a jam session: their rhythmic drive was fantastic and their phrasing so subtle, always responding and strongly relating to the soloist's statement. Christophe is a very special musician, always developing his solos thematically, and through his creative process at all time closely listening to his fellow musicians. Ferruccio and I are very close friends and together we have created the group "InventaRio". I love his lyrical qualities as a bass player, although he can as well support the soloist with a sure drive, as shown in the live recording here included.
