Fantasia by Kaare Norge Kaare Norge : Fantasia.
Outstanding classical guitar.

International acclaimed guitarist Kaare Norge releases one of his many fantastic albums with Magnatune, Fantasia. The style is classical with a touch of Spanish flamenco and latin American rhythms, with flairs of Nordic tones. Fantasia is an almost meditative album ideal for immersion with its beautiful and very catchy melodies.

Fantasia closed the door on a life changing episode for Kaare. For over two years ago, he and his then wife, quite without warning were attacked by an assailant at a cafe in Aarhus. The senseless violence sent him to hospital and headlines. Luckily, his hands were not hurt, but the experience drove him deep into despair and heavy smoking. He was afraid of dying, afraid to live and afraid that he would ever play again. Through intensive therapy there was light at the end of the tunnel and through the damage and subsequent rebuilding, Kaare says it has changed his personality. Fantasia is music for the soul in the classical tradition of colored Nordic, Spanish and latin American tones. But at the same time it is blended with a meditative calm for thought. Many of the songs express pain, but, also a great love for life, for example. in "Tango Amore". Kaare Norge was notably known for his guitar version of Jacob Gade's "Tango Jalousie". Now he's made his whole tango. "It is the classical music that is my beginning and where my heart is. Popular music and rock is my playtime. I will continue to experiment, and out of this pain I have had other doors open on to more creative outlets."
