Looking There by Kaissa Kaissa : Looking There.
Modern african music with elements of rhythm'n'blues, pop, and jazz.

LOOKING THERE is an album of modern African music with elements of rhythm 'n' blues, pop, and jazz. Showcasing various rhythms from Cameroonian Makossa to reggae, Afro-beat and R'n'B, Kaïssa's music connects with the listener without artifices. Kaïssa has drawn from her country's cultural vibrancy and her family's musical tradition. The themes are love, loss, sociopolitical issues, women's rights, hope, optimism, poverty, war, unrest, honoring ancestors and immigration. Holding it all together is the focus on her hauntingly beautiful voice, powerful yet silky. She still entertains by delivering downright fun dance songs for the pure party enjoyment!

Kaïssa says, "I strongly believe that my mission as an artist is not only to entertain and bring joy, but also to offer an artistic and cultural understanding of each other by creating a cultural bridge over racial, cultural and ethnic differences."
