Kerry Politzer : Labyrinth.
Jazz pianist with brazilian and classical influences.
"Labyrinth" takes the listener on a maze of harmonic twists and turns. The edgy
saxophone of Andrew Rathbun counteracts Politzer's lyrical piano lines, and both
soloists are featured in a program of Brazilian-influenced modern jazz. Upbeat
tunes like "Rhodes Rage" and the title track balance moodier tunes like the 9/11
tribute "After The Smoke, Memories" and the solo piano "Waltz for Charlie,"
named after Politzer's late mentor, jazz guru Charlie Banacos.
Songs:
1. Rhodes Rage
2. Paloma
3. The End
4. Hya
5. After The Smoke Memories
6. Propulsion
