Barbara Leoni has dabbled in a variety of musical styles, but it's the blues she most identifies with, and Human Needs is the playground in which she explores influences like Clapton, Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Bonnie Raitt, as well as her own developing voice. Leoni's strengths are her songwriting and guitar chops. The title track is the highlight of the album—a brazenly sexy, strip-tease worthy number with a great guitar solo in the middle.
