An oscilloscope is instrument that produces visual images of changing electrical current, and Liquid Zen's third and most intoxicating album seems to do much the same: big wave forms of sound unfurl slowly behind stately beats and vaulting, zero gravity effects. Roland St. John's voice occasionally drifts into the ever changing constellations of sound, but this album is primarily atmospheric, and the best tracks are the ones that keep the vocals restrained and abstract. Recommended tracks "Levier D'Armement," "Orion Above," and "Kitano Zoom"—a cascading, falling leaf of a song.
