Monom : Velenje Remixed.
Ethnotronica, world music, electronic, downtempo, ambient techno, dystopia, cinematic, far-east, australia and europe.
Velenje is a town like no other in Slovenia (Central Europe). It was built in just a decade during 1950-1960 as a concept for healthy living in a new socialist society. The best Slovenian architects of that time were hired for the job. Besides that, Velenje is also known as an incubator of excellent musicians and composers. Many of them study, work and live all over the globe. Because of that, accomplished music producer and composer Stane Spegel (Monom) from Velenje decided to do a remix album of 12 compositions of those fine artists who work in the fields of urban musical genres (jazz, hip-hop, electronic music, funk). Most of the songs are instrumental, but there are a few tunes with lyrics in exotic Slovenian language, too.
Songs:
1. Awakening (Fuzit)
2. Essence of Spring (Andrej Hocevar)
3. Libido (Mihael Hrustelj)
4. Something Like That (United Grooves)
5. Visions (Brlee)
6. Pada Dez (Robert Jukic and Nina Strnad)
7. Carrot and Stick (Miha Koren)
8. Dance of the Terminator Puzzle (Stop)
9. Playhouse (Monom)
10. You (New Creatives Inc)
11. Morebit (Mrigz n Ghet)
12. Prave Tipke (6pack Cukur)
13. Quiet Skies Come Back (Jure Pukl)
