Beth Quist : New Moon.
Electro-balkan / indian meets new age..
Beth Quist's latest album, New Moon, draws from all her influences
covering many genres. The album journey begins more in the West,
travels through quiet pensive landscapes and driving percussive tunes,
then ends with a traditional Turkish song. Beth's signature soaring
4-octave soprano vocals weave throughout. High tech samples are blended
with ancient acoustic instruments like hammered dulcimer and Persian
daff. Beth plays all the instruments except cello/track 8: James
Hoskins, & doumbek/track 2: Nathan Good.
In the years since Beth released her last solo album she's flown 65
feet in the air with Cirque du Soleil, toured Europe and played Carnegie
Hall with Bobby McFerrin. Now she has finally found a supportive space to
create and record in the remote CO mountains. Beth is psyched and grateful to have the opportunity to share her solo music with all who are interested & supportive.
