Solace, a.k.a. Jeremiah M. Soto, has earned renown as producer thtrough several best-selling ambient, world, and electronica album, including the Magnatune favorite Ahsas. This time Soto takes us deeper into his imagined east by fusing his dynamic Middle Eastern rhythms with exotic Far Eastern instrumentation and percussion. Few people could blend disparate cultures and eras so successfully, but Soto's impeccable studio craftsmanship and knowledge of multiple genres enable him to do just that . Taiko drums, guqin, and pan pipe meet with subtle trip hop and Middle Eastern beats to form a musical vision out of time and place—an entirely original and idyllic meeting of two worlds.
