The Rapture : Analogue Imperfections.
Electronica with a heart.
Analogue Imperfections picks up the story where the previous album, 9 Fifty 8ths left off. It continues to explore soundtrack themes combined with contemporary dance and electronica rhythms and sounds. Traditional orchestral arrangements and orchestrations were also included and mixed with cutting edge synthesized sounds and textures to bolster the cinematic and expansive feel of some of the tracks. As the title suggests, more of the parts were played and recorded live and any timing or tuning errors or other mistakes were left in the final recording. It was a deliberate decision to pull away from the overly clean and sometimes sterile sound of digital music.
I hope you like it!
