Tilopa : Out of the Blue.
Healing magic of the japanese zenflute.
One of Tilopa's best-selling recordings, Out Of The Blue brings in a few modern touches to Tilopa's deeply Zen playing of the kyotaku. This time around there's some accompaniment on piano and other instruments, but it always stays true to Tilopa's pared down and deeply peaceful aesthetic. The album is primarily Eastern in sensibility, but there are some little cross cultural touches as well. We absolutely love, for instance, the blend of Spanish guitar and kyotaku in "El Corazon Canta." A wonderful album.
