These improvisations are the result of an unusual meeting between East and West, Japanese zenflute and piano. A meeting in the unknown that again and again surprises the listener (as much as the musicians themselves) through its' many different facets. A story unravelling in wide open space told by two masters of their instruments with silence as its main character and permeated by their deep joy in music.

Aki Hoffman, a teacher of piano and especially the art of improvisation at different european universities, is the perfect match for Tilopa with his sound training in traditional Zen music and his fascination with crossover projects since years.
