Tom Paul's second full length album There Is No Map begins with his characteristic optimism, laced with the slight edge of Messrs. Dylan and Petty's influence. Tom again called on Charlie Morgan [Elton John, Paul McCartney, Thin Lizzie] to supply drums, and Charlie DeChant [Hall & Oates} sits in on saxaphone for two tracks, including "She's My Girlfriend," which is a super catchy track. "I Saw A Rainbow" is a standout as well. It's a ballad about an everyday event can salvage even the worst day, and it's a good example of Tom's preference as an artist for exploring every day events and challenges. "Physical Girl" rips it up in a roots rock fashion, and "Hey now, Babus" (about Tom's daughter) is everyone's favorite for it's tender, good time vibe.
