Straight from Skultuna, Sweden, comes the fantastically dark and deeply textured ambient-trash-trance of Wicked Boy, whose influences include Massive Attack, Yello, Prodigy, and Depeche Mode. The Treatment has both atmosphere and character to burn—like a sky full of nimbo-stratus clouds as seen through the dirty windshield of a lowrider. It's a really great album, in other words—full of gritty beats, smart loops, and expertly created moods. On top of all that, the icily femme vocals on the title track and others contrast perfectly with the gritty, brooding backdrop. We also love "Pressure," "Strange Days" and "Wide Dynamics."
