Audio70:
Groovy fusions between electronica and prog rock on the keyboard.
The man behind Audio70 is called Luigi Ballotta, a keyboard player from
Italy. His passion for music showed early on, leading him to listen to various
authors and genres from early childhood, such as the singers of the Italian music
scene of the 70s and 80s, including Italo disco, jazzrock, progressive rock and
electronic music/new age. Luigi then played in several rock bands in his area,
among others a progressive rock group which would greatly influence his way of
playing and composing music. In short, his passion for music and the musical
genres was and still is unbridled. In addition to listening to music, a
considerable part of his time is spent on studying the piano and on practicing
his piano play.
All of the above culminated in a debut album that expresses well Luigi's
understanding of music. His one rule is that there’s no rules!
Luigi practiced every single part of his tracks to perfection, to the point that
for all except the drum parts and some repetitive synthesizer bits no
post-production or computer editing was necessary.
To Audio70, music serves to express sensations - be that a distant or near memory
or anything else that generates an emotion - which could hardly be expressed with
words. In other words, playing and composing music allows Audio70 to express a
hidden part of himself; to bring feelings and emotions hidden in the depths of
the soul to the surface.
