Darko Saric is an eclectic musician who finds that
producing and composing music best allow him to express himself. Interested in
music from a very young age, Darko began his musical journey in the early 1990s
when he played guitar with different bands in the indie scene of Lima, Peru.
From there his career took off when he formed the band Indigo (Sony Music-2000),
which was one of the most successful pop/rock bands in Peru. After touring and
recording two albums with Indigo, Darko felt the necessity to explore other
avenues in order to realize his musical vision. This desire for change led him
to move to the United States.
Now residing in New York, Darko has seen his career blossom even further. A
skilled multi-instrumentalist, he has recorded and produced his own music, which
has been licensed and used on several primetime network and cable programs. One
of the first placements his music had was in a promo for Mad Men, which was
included in the DVD. After that, his music was used in several promos for the tv
channels AMC and CW11. His music was used on the tv programs Celebrity Rehab and
Army Wives among others. Darko is currently composing music for the TV shows 20/20,
Primetime, and the Bachelor.
Darko has also utilized his creative talents to record and produce different
indie bands and solo artists using a variety of styles. As a producer/co-writer, he has worked as a guitarist and producer
on the sophomore album The Sound Inside for the band In Flight Radio. He
has produced two singer-songwriters from NYC, Jennifer Logue and Jeannine
Hebb and is currently collaborating with Grammy-winning songwriter Bill
Grainger.
