Kene: Gloomy, dazzling dark-pop.

Estonian president Toomas Hendrik Ilves called Kene's music a noir alternative that meets finno-ugric joik chant. Many critics and melomans say that it is like Pj Harvey collaborating with Patty Smith.

Kene is a singer and songwriter from Estonia. Her music is written together with producer Ervin Trofimov from post-rock outfit Opium Flirt.

"My music is gloomy and dazzling. It`s a mixture of many genres, most distinctive elements are from pop and folk. I like to call it dark-pop".

Over the last ten years she has had many concerts in all the big festivals in Estonia, including Tallinn Music Week, the Eurovision finals and the Estonian Pop Idols finals, winning hearts as one of the most unique performers. Her gigs internationally have included England, Denmark, Finland, Latvia (Positivus festival, Summer Sound) and Lithuania.
