Non-Commercial Podcasts can use all Magnatune music at no cost with no permission required! Commercial podcasters can obtain a low-cost license online.

A podcast is non-commercial if you do not charge listeners to hear the podcast, there is no advertising, it was not created to promote a business, and you were not paid to create the podcast.

If your podcast is non-commercial, you can download 128k versions of the songs for free. Click the "license" button next to any button and click the "Non-commercial" option. There will be a voice at the end of the song announcing what you just heard, which you can trim off with any MP3 trimming software.

If you are non-commercial and would like a perfect quality version of our albums for your podcast, we ask that you purchase a copy of the album (you can pay as little as $5), which you can then play on your podcast 100% legally without paying collecting society royalties.

Next steps:

  • Non-commercial podcasts free 128k download: download the MP3s for this album. Each mp3 will end with a human voice that says "That was track __ from the album __ by the artist __" You can easily trim off the speaking for use in your podcast.

  • Non-commercial podcasts buy album: buy the album in perfect audio quality, without any ending voice you need to trim off.

  • Commercial podcast license: browse through our online catalog of music, and when you've found your selection, click the "license" link, then click the "audio" link and answer a few questions about your project. Pay the licensing fee in our secure credit card payment area, and you'll immediately receive a CD-quality download of the music and a customized license to use it in your podcast. The entire process takes just a few minutes.
  • If you're not sure what music you want yet, collections such as best selling instrumental can be a good place to start, and Magnatune has a wide array of other genres and collections to help you find the music you need as well.
