Description:a fresh new approach to lush indie pop
Genre:Alt Rock
Artist:Mountain Sounds
Album:Mountain Sounds (instrumental)

Recorded in an out-of-use orphanage in the mountains of Guatemala, Mountain Sounds is an entirely self-produced, indie-in-the-truest-sense-of-the-word recording project comprised of two friends coming together from separate parts of the world to realize a shared vision of rock and roll music.

The album is a testament not only to the importance and scarcity of true creative chemistry, but also to the need to make art regardless of the obstacles in the way. All of us were born to create; it's as natural as breath, as necessary as food, and comforting as sleep. We grew up drawing pictures, singing songs, staging plays - but we kept growing, and we found ourselves working in banks, managing retail shops, selling insurance. The only singing we do now is in cars piddling along in rush hour traffic.

'Mountain Sounds' is a step away from what we've become and back towards who we were. Six years removed from their last collaborative recording project, Portland, Oregon's Tim Hoyt and Guatemala's own Franc Castillejos came together to make something vital and new in the only place they could: a vacant orphanage in the mountains of Central America.

Former band mates separated for years by arbitrary ideas like nationalities, immigration laws, and time zones (not to mention several thousand very real miles), Hoyt and Castillejos found themselves discouraged and sputtering after years apart; drifting ever farther from the life they loved, ever closer to a life neither of them wanted. On the verge of acquiescence, they chose instead something altogether different: a last-ditch attempt to be who they used to be.

After a summer spent recording and trading demos separately, Tim quit his insurance job and left his home in Portland, Oregon, relocating to Franc's family's property on a secluded patch of land in the Cordillera Alux mountain range west of Guatemala City. The two set up shop in an old, out-of-use orphanage on the grounds, transforming the space into a functioning studio using what limited resources they could find.

For three months they lived and breathed nothing but their music, taking breaks only for meals, even sleeping in the makeshift studio. The long, cold rainy season ensured that they spent almost every waking moment in that space, working without interruption. Their seclusion provided extraordinary focus; their extreme limitations, an opportunity to try everything differently.

After three months, they emerged with twelve songs that showcased their distinct voice; songwriting defined by complex catchiness, minor chord melancholy, and sparse, deliberate arrangements.

Nothing about 'Mountain Sounds' was easy or without risk. Nothing was normal: not where it was made, or how. Not how its creators reunited after years apart, putting their entire lives on hold to pursue something they hadn't done together in ages. But concepts like "easy," "safe," and "normal" don't matter very much when you're doing what you were born to do. And with 'Mountain Sounds,' Franc and Tim are finally back where they always should have been.

Description:If the Beatles had been born in Russia!
Genre:Alt Rock
Artist:Liamkins
Album:Reason Softly Speaks or Just Makes It Louder

"I was really impressed by the album. It was well produced and arranged. I especially liked "Breath Of Spring", "Forever And A Half", "I Wanna Get You Back" and "Countryside"
Paul Romaine, Broadcaster, Writer, Radio Show Host

"Yury (George) Liamkin is an amazing artist and songwriter. His addition to the roster of Respectable Artists Management and Publishing is one that is irreplaceable. Yury's songs are melodic and detailed. If Paul McCartney had somehow been born in Russia instead of the UK, he would have ended up being Yury Liamkin.

Both his acoustic singer/songwriter songs and his rockers heavily reflect influence by The Beatles, in particular, Paul McCartney in both his Beatles and his Wings tenure and solo career as well. He is nothing short of honest and brilliant as a songwriter and a performer.

Previously, Yury was a member of the Russian band Updivers and they were signed to a deal with Warner Records Germany. As a solo artist, his songs scream movie and television adaptation! Melodic, reflective, emotional compositions that capture the heartstrings of the listener. What a talent! I am sure you will agree!"

Genre:Electro Rock
Artist:Kyven
Album:For Commercial Use Only (instrumental)

Welcome to the instrumental version of Kyven's "For Commercial Use Only" where you can add your own lyrics to a whole new set of upbeat pop, inspiration, 'go for it' attitude songs. Complete with constant melodic vocal hooks, rockin' piano and synthesizers over punchy drum machines, each song takes the listener on a journey of soul searching, independence, and wanting more.

The title came about while Kyle and Steven were poking fun at their own incredible success of licensing their music to television, film, and radio..."for commercial use only" seemed to sum up their musical experience with Kyven.

Description:colorful classical guitar
Genre:Classical
Artist:Daniel Estrem
Album:Haydn Trios on Guitar

Joseph Haydn (1732-1809) was an Austrian born composer who spent his life as a court musician somewhat secluded from the rest of the musical world. He was named Kapellmeister at the palace of the influential Esterhazy family in 1761, a position that would support him financially for nearly 30 years. Despite his isolation he was one of the most celebrated composers of his time and the seclusion, as he put it, "forced him to become original."

Much of Haydn's composition at the time followed the specific musical interest of his patron Prince Nikolaus Esterhazy. The Prince, around 1765 obtained and learned to play the baryton, an unusual instrument similar to the bass viol but with a set of plucked sympathetic strings. The instrument on the cover of this recording is the Prince's baryton. Haydn was required to provide new music for the Prince to play, and over the next ten years produced about 200 works for this instrument in various ensembles, of which the most notable are the 126 baryton trios, written for baryton, viola and cello. The Londoner Trio No. 1 was originally written for 2 flutes and cello. All transcriptions for guitar by Anton Hoeger (Germany).
