Justin St-Pierre released The Insular in late 2015. Essentially composed in Montreal, it has been finished in New Caledonia, a small pacific island, dreamed land on the other side of the world.

The Insular is the artist's third album, after Rafiot (2009) and La Faille (2012). For a year now, Justin St-Pierre has been traveling the world, looking for inspiration and multicultural sharings. His music is an invitation to travel, inspired by the feelings and the places he came across over time. Full of emotions, the instrumental pieces have to be listened to with attention, because they touch the heart and soul in such subtle ways. Let yourself go...

Vol.2 continues from where Vol.1 left off. With more deeply moving and melancholy themes and textures. Featuring various choirs and solo singers, blending Spanish, Italian, and European sounds. A pure melting pot of sound and emotion. Your imagination is the only limit!

Uplifting deep & acid house anthem with live saxophone recordings from one of the best European sax players. Plenty of changes keep the track lively and pumping.

Traffic
An exciting and upfront drum & bass track with strong, jazzy notes and a touch of trance synths. Live saxophone played by a great musician. Funny, joyful and catchy melodies.

Flutter
Positive vibes. This is an uplifting, powerful, groovy and energetic breakbeat tune with melodic jazzy saxophone, lots of synths and synthetic whistle.

Awaking
Ear catching saxophone melody and improvisation, layered with deep rhodes sound, funky guitars, smooth bass and and chillout drums. Starting off on a dreamy ambient vibe, this track later expands into a mightily jazzy down tempo score. A beautiful melody from a romantic story which culminates in a wild sex experience.

Disrupters
Sexy, upbeat retro funk groove with great saxophone riffs and improvisations. This tribute to David Holmes drives on groovy drums, retro-style keyboards and guitars with funky bass lines.
