After having played the Japanese Zenflute-Kyotaku for more than 30 years, Tilopa goes back to his roots with this album, on which you'll find ancient traditional Zen songs of the wandering monks that he learned from his Master Koku Nishimura.
Tilopa is one of the few Westerners who have mastered this art. Zen is very quiet music that transports a deep meditative quality.
This new music extravaganza called 'Ear Fatigue' (pun intended!) by the Spanish guitarist and composer Daniel Bautista brings you a new collection of tracks rooted (as usual) in the instrumental Prog Rock/Metal style that Daniel has been playing since 2002 in his solo career (and since 1993 with many bands). Not only that, but also Classical, Hard Rock, Jazz, Latin and Electronic elements can be found here; which might suggest a extreme musical crossover, but all the elements are under Daniel's very personal point of view, conforming a new instrumental-virtuoso-cocktail cohesive pack for your ears.
This album has been recorded and mixed as always in a Gentoo Linux box (free music recorded in a free environment) in 2018. All themes composed by Daniel Bautista, except track 9 by Bach/Gounod.
Dubbed "melodious Birde" by his contemporary John Baldwin, William Byrd was Queen Elizabeth I's favourite composer.
This selection from his keyboard music reveals Byrd's tuneful music in its varying moods - from poignant introspection to playful virtuosity.
The instruments used are those enjoyed by Elizabeth herself: the harpsichord and virginals.
Byrd was arguably the first ever true composer for the harpsichord. This
CD has been reviewed by the UK's leading expert on Byrd, as containing
"great playing, gorgeous sound clarity and empathy are Colin Booth's
forte the finest version on disc."
Description:
mesmerizing cinematic compositions with a touch of rock
This concept album embraces everything from ethnic heavy hitting drums to soft ambient pianos and strings. The project is a collage of many inflections ranging from ambient, post rock, and cinematic vibes that blend into each track. An underscoring goal whilst writing was to let the subconscious take over and letting my instincts keep moving me forward in the creative process. Not only was creating melodic hooks important but also creating an atmosphere to rest upon.
