Album:Summer Blood

"Summer Blood", which was released in the summer of 2014, is a direct reflection of the groups experiences growing up in Southern California in the 90's and what turned out to be turbulent times for the group. Many of the members experienced some major hardships during those times, like losing their home to their parents best efforts to fight rising debt. Rather than feeling sorry for themselves and letting the pressures of life take the joy from their world the group found solace in the escape that playing music offers them.

Summer Blood features meaty bass lines, irresistible guitar hooks, and Leandro Barrientos' massive vocals. The band also veers away from the standard punk module on songs like "Black Star Canyon," and Palm Springs described as a straightforward and uplifting road trip jam about going on family trips in the 90's. The album Maintains a chill and poolside feeling while still having driving movement and direction with dynamics and guitar work.

"Derailed" opens things up with a catchy indie rock track that really pulsates tremendous energy and melody. The sound on the track sounds akin to Kings Of Leon. "Plastic Sky" takes the listener on a journey of a moody sound. The song draws comparisons to Arcade Fire but really stands out with its harsh emotion that boils over at times within, the track is comparable to Modest Mouse. "The Jetty" is a tad slower of a track and really explores the atmospheric side of the band. It still has a groovy melodic chorus and really adds layers of depth to the track. "Wretched Life" is a chaotic rock song. The song really takes things to a new level and it really stands out. "Summer Blood" is a track that will bring to mind the 90's funky summer rock. The Modest Mouse influence is once again on the track but the band still makes the track their own and it really is something to hear. "Anyway" is a love letter to their state of California. It's a rock heavy track as it would surely make the classic California bands admire what they hear. "1996" closes things out with an outstanding closer. "Summer Blood", focuses on hypnotic textures, dynamic musical language and the narrative of growing up in the 90's suburban sprawls of Southern California, it was released through a successful crowdfunding campaign and met with praise from both local fans and international music, blog and arts community. It has been featured on radio stations in Brazil, the UK, New Zealand, South Africa and the US.
