Somewhere New (instrumental) by Andre Rodriguez Andre Rodriguez : Somewhere New (instrumental).
Melodic rock combining memorable melodies with thoughtful storytelling.

The Somewhere New album is a rich display of songwriting in the indie-rock genre. Rooted in thoughtful lyrics, the songs examine an array of life experiences. The record opens up with stories of love and lost love but quickly move into a reflective consideration of broken dreams, change, and hope. The melodies are invitingly simple and conversational, allowing the audience to soak in each word.

Instrumentally, the disc meshes soaring guitars and beautifully voiced piano parts with solid rhythmic arrangements underneath. While the vocal approach and style is similar throughout the album, the musical production allows each song to stand on its own. Some of the tunes could be described as possessing a pop-rock feel, some are more Americana, and still others fall into alternative and indie. However, André Rodriguez' lyrical base and melodic delivery keeps all the material cohesive and original.
