Electro Retro by Ambient Teknology Ambient Teknology : Electro Retro.
Upbeat underground with shades of new wave.

Electro Retro is intended to be a throwback to sounds that were more often used in the late seventies/eighties mixed with more contemporary beats and rhythms of today.

The entire album was created using hardware synthesizers, primarily to give a reality to the timing and sense of the retrospective only hardware synths can give. An album that gives a mixture of uptempo and ambient in a shorter format than the usual electronic music of today. Electro Retro strives to give the listener a feel for the new sound synthesisers gave to the listening public. A sound, which in its heyday was not thought of as real music, but as a new world of the new wave of synthetic sounds. A sound that today seems more historic than commercial.

Heavy rhythms, sweeping synth combined with real bass sounds and synthetic leads all go into the "Electro Retro" mixing pot.

The artwork was left to the artist RIKO. He was given free reign to create a unique feel to an album cover that stands true to the original electronic feel through imagery. To see more of RIKO's work go to http://theoldtin.blogspot.com.
