"Vivaldi Fata Tiganca" means "Vivaldi was a gypsy girl" in Romanian. This album proposes some secular works of Antonio Vivaldi, performed with a gypsy intonation of the orchestra and soloists. There are some controversial historical sources claiming that Vivaldi was in reality a woman teaching in a girl orphanage. The Bezdin Ensemble and its conductor Adina Spire make homage with this album to the classical music of all women.
