Now is The Time by The Bots The Bots : Now is The Time.
The world's first virtual band.

Awesomely nerdy new wave here folks. There's something incredibly great about the lyrics of The Bots' fun, driving techno. Verses that would be super cheesy if delivered by a carbon based life form become delightfully campy and even a little fascinating when sung by "Synthia." When she utters phrases like "You've got to keep on pushing to a higher level" in the first track or "A good groove makes a captive of me" in her clipped, disaffected computer voice, it sounds precisely the way an android band would if they were earnestly trying to imitate club music. Whether it means to or not, this music ends up being a great parody of human beings' attempts to be devastatingly sexy and cool, and it just works somehow. It's also fantastic workout music.
