Chad Farran : Another Ride.
An impressive journey through latin rhythms and moves.
Another Ride (nominated for a San Diego Music Award in 2007) uses the same techniques as his soundtrack work to fuse Latin sounds and rhythms with the acoustic pop melodies that were inspired by influential recording artists both in the U.S. and abroad.
Farran's interest in Brazilian culture makes an impressive influence on Another
Ride, as he weaves stories of love found and love lost with the rhythms that
enchanted him on his travels throughout that country. The Brazilian styles of
Samba, Bossa Nova, Reggae, Forro, and Maracatu can all be heard in his songs, as
he showcases his talents on the instruments he collected and brought back.
