Ensemble Carpe Diem Genève's album Dolci miei sospiri offers a look at the Italian secular music of the seventeenth century and reveals some aspects of Baroque affetti, contrasts and colors. The desire is to explore the different facets of the feeling of love, to express the contrasts of joy and sadness, through dances, fantasies, songs and madrigals.
