Not every player is able to breathe life into old instruments, let them sound bright, deeply, to sparkle and sing. Olexa Kabanov though is undoubtedly capable. He plays traditional tunes that sound as if they have not been played for hundreds of years but they are alive, close, and warm. There is such a feeling as if the melody and you yourself have gone beyond the confines of this time - and no one is getting older, nothing disappears, while the music pulls you back.
