JS Bach (Inventions and Sinfonias) by Kathleen McIntosh Kathleen McIntosh : JS Bach (Inventions and Sinfonias).
Delicious harpsichord rarities.

JS Bach - Inventions and Sinfonias - these are small works of art, beautifully crafted in two and three parts and exploring a variety of tonalities. They were written by Johann Sebastian Bach for his son, Wilhelm Friedman, when the child was only nine years old, and today they are often undervalued as simple teaching pieces.

McIntosh makes a convincing case otherwise, exploring the artistry and imagination of each individual piece beyond its technical demands. Also included are Bach's "Little Preludes".
