John writes: Jan has for years remarked that many of her favorite piano pieces are in fact slow pieces, often considered easy to play, and as "student pieces" not worthy of being recorded. She's been threatening to record her favorite slow Scarlatti keywork works herself. You can imagine how happy we were to receive this CD by Marko Nouwens, an accomplished pianist recording just these sorts of student pieces. This CD is a real delight!
