Panic Ensemble : A Different Story.
Cabaret infused rock band mixing folk and world.
A Different Story, Ensemble Panic's second album, contains the elements of magic and heavenly witchery that were present in their debut album, and simultaneously carries a new spirit - a strong connection to the earth, which is expressed in the fresh and colorful electric sound.
The music is driven by a rhythm section of drums, bass and electric guitar, orchestrated together with viola, accordion, piano and trumpet, creating a mixture of folk rock pop and cabaret music. The song lyrics were written by poet Karen Alkalay Gut, and deal with life conflicts, relationships, and humanity.
To deepen Panic Ensemble's new sound dimension Roy Yarkoni added Avi Belleli (Tractor's Revenge) and they produced the album. The mix smoothly completing Panic Ensemble's weave of celestial vs. corporal, was made by Richard Woodcraft, who won a Grammy for his work with Radiohead and who has worked over the years with Arctic Monkeys, Neil Young, Robbie Williams and others)in the Flexi Sound Studios in London.
