Jake Bradford-Sharp: Experimental nu jazz that cannot be classified or categorized.

English drummer, musician, composer and educator Jake Bradford-Sharp is a technically proficient artist working in many musical fields: tutoring drums and music in London, regular gigging, session work, and recording music for TV and film. Born in Enfield, London in 1992, Jake first began playing drums at the age of 8 and began formal lessons at the age of 10.

Jake fell in love with composing for TV, films and games and his ability to jump between styles and genres effortlessly, yet still bring a unique and recognizable sound to every project is creatively showcased in his showreels. This led Jake to working with independent filmmakers and composing for library music companies.

Over the years Jake has developed his own unique take on the Electro Swing genre; His first release of 'Nu-Jazz Experiments' fused older genres such as swing and gypsy jazz of the 30's and 40's with more modern electronica, EDM and dubstep of the 90's, 00's and 10's. Since then he has expanded his compositional skills into more bespoke orchestral works, his classical and synthwave-tinged release entitled Dark Future, and continuing to explore the Electro Swing genre that sparked his compositional journey into TV, film and game music.

Outside of performing drums and composing music, teaching is a big passion of Jakes and as such, he is a permanent tutor at Bang Drum School in London. He is working on a teaching method and drumming concept book entitled The Alphabet of Drums and releasing drum videos on YouTube to demonstrate what the method can do.

Jake is also an active session musician and as such, has been hired to work with many artists at some of the worlds' most prestigious recording studios in his hometown of London. He is available for session work and can be contacted directly at info@jakebradford-sharp.com.
