Following the 2004 release of the new EP Signal, Boulevard launched an east coast tour, gaining exposure and airplay on college radio. With songs of despair and bliss set to a disco beat, Boulevard continues to catch the attention of audiences and journalists everywhere.\n\n\"Boulevard - This impressive local five-piece performs dance-inducing numbers straight out of the New Wave era. Frontman and primary songwriter Benji Barton's voice fills the spaces with a glamorous croon. The recently released EP Signal is worth a listen.\"\nChris Hassiotis, Flagpole Magazine\n\n\"SIGNAL is authentic. Hailing from Athens, GA, Boulevard is a band ready to be invited into the big leagues. SIGNAL is a good rock album.\"\nH. Barry Zimmerman, Skratch Magazine\n\n\"Boulevard sounds as if they're on their fourth or fifth album here as the maturity of the songs and music is its greatest asset...It's an impressive batch of tunes from a band sounding far wiser than their years.\"\nJason MacNeil, PopMatters.com\n\n\"Boulevard's self-released Signal has that whole \"Someday, Susie, we're gonna get out of this two-bit town!\" energy that befits the band's bouncy, vaguely rebellious and very much youthful pop-rock riffs.\"\nTime Out New York\n\n\"Boulevard pits the flair of new wave and glam rock against the romantic swagger of Britpop for an infectious, up-beat pop sound.\"\nKevin Foster Langston, Free Times Columbia, SC\n\n\"Melodramatic and glammy Anglophile jangle by apparent Suede fans from Athens, Georgia. The vocals swish about as the guitars ring out, and the result leaves most American Brit-pop wannabees in the dust.\"\nVillage Voice\n\nProduced by Tom Lewis and Boulevard. Boulevard is: Benji Barton (vocals, guitar, piano); Donovan Babb (drums); Emily Beard (keyboards, piano, vocals); Robert Caruthers (guitar, vocals); Holden Spaht (bass).
