By combining the ancient sounds of the Celts, the Spirituality of Medieval Mystics, and the woeful mourn of the Appalachian tradition, Lydia writes new music that evokes a sense of the past. Sweeping across the centuries, crossing the continents, from Italy to England, Ireland to Southern Appalachian Mountains, she weaves a beautiful musical tapestry of her own journeys.\n\nLydia McCauley's music is described as beautiful, mystical, intriguing, crystal, passionate. Her songwriting is shaped by Celtic, Medieval, and Appalachian music - and her own pilgrimages around the world. This combination portrays a beautiful journey through the past and into the present as Lydia's passionate and clear vocals take her listener to an inward landscape, where the simple truths of her lyrics illumine the soul.\n\n\"I wouldn't have missed this for anything. The words were just as good as the music.\"\nMadeleine L'Engle, Newberry Award Winning Author of Wrinkle in Time\n\n\"Lydia McCauley's songs have a primal quality that reaches through the ear to the heart. Their beauty is infectious, their strength fortifying. I hear the songs from Sabbath Day's Journey echoing in my own soul.\"\nLuci Shaw, author, The Crime of Living Cautiously\n\n\"Lydia McCauley's music is therapy for the senses - its ethereal beauty soothes the soul.\"\nAnne Deck, host/producer \"Girls Night Out\" and Weekday\" WUKY - FM, 91.3, Lexington, KY", "release_date" : "2011-02-04", "genres" : ["New Age","Folk"], "collections" : [],
