{ "ok" : true, "artist" : { "name" : "Ambient Teknology", "page" : "atek", "description" : "upbeat underground with shades of new wave", "location" : "Cornwall, England", "bio" : "Ambient Teknology aka Mark P. has been recording uptempo underground electronic music for over six years and is influenced by such artists as Kraftwerk, Orbital, Gary Numan, and Sven Vath. Ambient Teknology fuses early synth from the 1970's and 80's with the dance driven drum and bass riffs of the late 90's, resulting in a driving, upbeat sound full of ecclectic beats and the deliciously dark undertones of early new wave.\n\nBorn in Cornwall, England in 1966, Mark P. lived and grew through the UK punk and electronic scene and developed a sense of the true depth of sound synthesisers were meant to bring to music. Much of Ambient Teknology's music, in fact, is based on ideas involving a departure from the old, and a dawn into the new, and Mark continually incorporates new ideas, techologies, and sounds into his music as electronica and techno continue to evolve.\n\nSelf proclaimed as the only electronic artist in Cornwall, Mark has created quite a following for himself there. The official Ambient Teknology website receives thousands of hits from all over the world, and locally Ambient Teknology sells more than 100 CDs a month. Dedicated to creating exceptional dance underground for the local scene and the world at large, Ambient Teknology is on a mission to make music that the old and young alike can touch, feel, breathe, and most importantly-enjoy.\n\nYou can find out more about Ambient Teknology on his own website.", "photo" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/img/ambient_teknology.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/atek/", "albums" : [{ "sku" : "atek-tronicselection", "name" : "Only a Tronic Selection", "artist" : { "name" : "Ambient Teknology", "page" : "atek" }, "release_date" : "2014-02-16", "genres" : ["Electronica"], "cover" : "https://magnatune.com/music/Ambient%20Teknology/Only%20a%20Tronic%20Selection/cover_400.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/albums/atek-tronicselection/", "api_url" : "https://magnatune.com/api/albums/atek-tronicselection", "buy_url" : "https://magnatune.com/buy/album?sku=atek-tronicselection" },{ "sku" : "atek-horrorbox", "name" : "Horrorbox", "artist" : { "name" : "Ambient Teknology", "page" : "atek" }, "release_date" : "2011-04-06", "genres" : ["Electronica","Techno"], "cover" : "https://magnatune.com/music/Ambient%20Teknology/Horrorbox/cover_400.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/albums/atek-horrorbox/", "api_url" : "https://magnatune.com/api/albums/atek-horrorbox", "buy_url" : "https://magnatune.com/buy/album?sku=atek-horrorbox" },{ "sku" : "atek-electro", "name" : "Electro Retro", "artist" : { "name" : "Ambient Teknology", "page" : "atek" }, "release_date" : "2010-12-31", "genres" : ["Electronica","Techno"], "cover" : "https://magnatune.com/music/Ambient%20Teknology/Electro%20Retro/cover_400.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/albums/atek-electro/", "api_url" : "https://magnatune.com/api/albums/atek-electro", "buy_url" : "https://magnatune.com/buy/album?sku=atek-electro" },{ "sku" : "atek-devil", "name" : "The Devils Toxin - Atek Rebirth Vol 1", "artist" : { "name" : "Ambient Teknology", "page" : "atek" }, "release_date" : "2007-08-01", "genres" : ["Electronica","Techno"], "cover" : "https://magnatune.com/music/Ambient%20Teknology/The%20Devils%20Toxin%20-%20Atek%20Rebirth%20Vol%201/cover_400.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/albums/atek-devil/", "api_url" : "https://magnatune.com/api/albums/atek-devil", "buy_url" : "https://magnatune.com/buy/album?sku=atek-devil" },{ "sku" : "atek-eye", "name" : "The All Seeing Eye Project", "artist" : { "name" : "Ambient Teknology", "page" : "atek" }, "release_date" : "2006-07-31", "genres" : ["Electronica","Techno"], "cover" : "https://magnatune.com/music/Ambient%20Teknology/The%20All%20Seeing%20Eye%20Project/cover_400.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/albums/atek-eye/", "api_url" : "https://magnatune.com/api/albums/atek-eye", "buy_url" : "https://magnatune.com/buy/album?sku=atek-eye" },{ "sku" : "atek-phoenix", "name" : "Phoenix", "artist" : { "name" : "Ambient Teknology", "page" : "atek" }, "release_date" : "2005-11-25", "genres" : ["Electronica","Techno"], "cover" : "https://magnatune.com/music/Ambient%20Teknology/Phoenix/cover_400.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/albums/atek-phoenix/", "api_url" : "https://magnatune.com/api/albums/atek-phoenix", "buy_url" : "https://magnatune.com/buy/album?sku=atek-phoenix" }] }, "license" : { "music_license" : "Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 1.0 (CC BY-NC-SA 1.0)", "music_license_url" : "https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/1.0/", "listening" : "Stream the free previews, or buy an album for $8 to download it in MP3, AAC, ALAC, FLAC, OGG or WAV. 100% of the price goes to the musician.", "non_commercial" : "Non-commercial projects may use the music under CC BY-NC-SA 1.0: credit the artist and Magnatune, and share alike.", "projects" : "Magnatune members may use any Magnatune music in their projects, commercial or not (videos, films, podcasts, games, apps, websites, adverts), including work for clients, under the Magnatune Project Licence.
