Then, through original metrics and claves, they have developed their own style between jazz, alternative and contemporary music.\n\nThe band changed to form a quintet with bass, keyboard, guitar, flute and drums by the end of 2008. In 2012, they were nominated by the French alternative radio FIP for their composition \"1 2 3 2\". As of 2014, they have performed over 40 times in Paris and its neighborhood including its most famous jazz clubs. After several live appearances as \"guest star\" and featuring in their first album Circonflexe, a rhythm-noisemaker-vocalist joined the band in 2013. Original composition, polyrhythmic music and improvisation are the features that characterize them best.\n\nYou can find out more about o-liostere on their website.\nA video of their track \"Countdown\" can be found here.", "photo" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/img/o_liostere.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/o_liostere/", "albums" : [{ "sku" : "oliostere-sclavenv", "name" : "S-clave (vocals removed)", "artist" : { "name" : "Oliostere", "page" : "o_liostere" }, "release_date" : "2026-10-22", "genres" : ["Jazz","Funk"], "vocals" : "vocals removed", "moods" : ["uplifting","playful","groovy","funky","energetic"], "uses" : ["vlog","travel","cooking or food","fashion or beauty","cafe or restaurant","lounge or bar"], "energy" : 4, "instrumentation" : ["electric guitar","flute","jazz ensemble","vocals"], "sounds_like" : [], "summary" : "A bouncy, melodic, clave-based progressive jazz and funk album with vocals, electric guitar, and flute—ideal for upbeat, stylish, or culturally rich video and podcast projects.", "cover" : "https://magnatune.com/music/Oliostere/S-clave%20(vocals%20removed)/cover_400.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/albums/oliostere-sclavenv/", "api_url" : "https://magnatune.com/api/albums/oliostere-sclavenv", "buy_url" : "https://magnatune.com/buy/album?sku=oliostere-sclavenv" },{ "sku" : "oliostere-sclave", "name" : "S-clave", "artist" : { "name" : "Oliostere", "page" : "o_liostere" }, "release_date" : "2018-01-26", "genres" : ["Jazz","Funk"], "vocals" : "vocals", "moods" : ["uplifting","playful","groovy","funky","energetic"], "uses" : ["vlog","travel","cooking or food","fashion or beauty","cafe or restaurant","lounge or bar"], "energy" : 4, "instrumentation" : ["electric guitar","flute","jazz ensemble","vocals"], "sounds_like" : [], "summary" : "A bouncy, melodic, clave-based progressive jazz and funk album with vocals, electric guitar, and flute—ideal for upbeat, stylish, or culturally rich video and podcast projects.", "cover" : "https://magnatune.com/music/Oliostere/S-clave/cover_400.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/albums/oliostere-sclave/", "api_url" : "https://magnatune.com/api/albums/oliostere-sclave", "buy_url" : "https://magnatune.com/buy/album?sku=oliostere-sclave" },{ "sku" : "oliostere-circonflexe", "name" : "Circonflexe", "artist" : { "name" : "Oliostere", "page" : "o_liostere" }, "release_date" : "2015-05-01", "genres" : ["Jazz","Funk","Instrumental Jazz"], "vocals" : "instrumental", "moods" : ["playful","quirky","groovy","hypnotic","elegant"], "uses" : ["podcast background","cafe or restaurant","lounge or bar","vlog","documentary","fashion or beauty"], "energy" : 4, "instrumentation" : ["electric guitar","cello","flute","drums","keyboard","scatting vocals"], "sounds_like" : [], "summary" : "Progressive jazz with melodic polyrhythms, cyclic claves, and guest cello and scat vocals—ideal for sophisticated, groove-oriented background use in cafes, podcasts, or lifestyle content.", "cover" : "https://magnatune.com/music/Oliostere/Circonflexe/cover_400.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/albums/oliostere-circonflexe/", "api_url" : "https://magnatune.com/api/albums/oliostere-circonflexe", "buy_url" : "https://magnatune.com/buy/album?sku=oliostere-circonflexe" }] }, "license" : { "music_license" : "Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 1.0 (CC BY-NC-SA 1.0)", "music_license_url" : "https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/1.0/", "listening" : "Stream the free previews, or buy an album for $8 to download it in MP3, AAC, ALAC, FLAC, OGG or WAV. 100% of the price goes to the musician.", "non_commercial" : "Non-commercial projects may use the music under CC BY-NC-SA 1.0: credit the artist and Magnatune, and share alike.", "projects" : "Magnatune members may use any Magnatune music in their projects, commercial or not (videos, films, podcasts, games, apps, websites, adverts), including work for clients, under the Magnatune Project Licence.
