After years of co-creating a multitude of diverse musical projects, Samson began literally to dream OGMA into being. The music first came into form as an expression of Samson's dream-time experiences. Music, wisdom, and teachings from dreams were the inspiration and building blocks to the very first OGMA pieces. Over a few years, Samson attentively cultivated a large body of work, however, he kept it to himself as a personal project.\n\nIn 2008, after experiencing a series of very powerful dreams and during a period of accelerated personal growth and transformation - Samson realized that it was time to bring OGMA into the world. As soon as he felt this, like a volcano, a burst of new songs came into being and along with them, the concept for OGMA's debut album - \"You Are It.\"\n\nOver a period of several months Samson wrote, performed, and recorded \"You Are It\" entirely by himself in Big Sur, California. \"This album has been written for the entire human family, and for this very moment, right now. It is a call to arms - a musical activation - radiating vibrations of Freedom, Affirmation, Empowerment, Healing, and Love.\" states Samson.\n\nSince releasing \"You Are It,\" Samson has been traveling and expanding his art through new experiences, challenges, and amazing opportunities. In the Spring of 2010, Samson landed back in beautiful Big Sur where he began working closely with a family network of brother and sister companies of creative, sustainable, and conscious endeavors.\n\nAt this time, Samson is writing his second album as well as producing music for an upcoming indie film in a new and exciting musical collaboration.\n\nFor updates, upcoming concerts, media, merchandise, and more... enjoy www.OG-MA.com.", "photo" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/img/ogma.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/ogma/", "albums" : [{ "sku" : "ogma-yaiinst", "name" : "You Are It (instrumental)", "artist" : { "name" : "OGMA", "page" : "ogma" }, "release_date" : "2011-07-30", "genres" : ["Alt Rock","Folk-Rock"], "vocals" : "instrumental", "moods" : ["uplifting","inspiring","energetic","hopeful","spiritual"], "uses" : ["podcast intro or outro","corporate","explainer","documentary","emotional storytelling"], "energy" : 4, "instrumentation" : ["acoustic guitar","drums","bass","percussion"], "sounds_like" : [], "summary" : "Upbeat, melodic instrumental folk-rock with positive intention—ideal for uplifting podcasts, corporate explainers, and inspirational documentaries.", "cover" : "https://magnatune.com/music/OGMA/You%20Are%20It%20(instrumental)/cover_400.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/albums/ogma-yaiinst/", "api_url" : "https://magnatune.com/api/albums/ogma-yaiinst", "buy_url" : "https://magnatune.com/buy/album?sku=ogma-yaiinst" },{ "sku" : "ogma-you", "name" : "You Are It", "artist" : { "name" : "OGMA", "page" : "ogma" }, "release_date" : "2010-10-09", "genres" : ["Alt Rock"], "vocals" : "vocals", "moods" : ["uplifting","energetic","hopeful","inspiring","spiritual","warm"], "uses" : ["podcast intro or outro","emotional storytelling","corporate","advertising","workout or fitness"], "energy" : 4, "instrumentation" : ["acoustic guitar","drum kit","male and female vocals","upbeat percussion"], "sounds_like" : [], "summary" : "Deliciously melodic and energizing friendly folk rock with uplifting vocals and positive affirmations, ideal for empowering content, wellness projects, and inspiring media.", "cover" : "https://magnatune.com/music/OGMA/You%20Are%20It/cover_400.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/albums/ogma-you/", "api_url" : "https://magnatune.com/api/albums/ogma-you", "buy_url" : "https://magnatune.com/buy/album?sku=ogma-you" }] }, "license" : { "music_license" : "Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 1.0 (CC BY-NC-SA 1.0)", "music_license_url" : "https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/1.0/", "listening" : "Stream the free previews, or buy an album for $8 to download it in MP3, AAC, ALAC, FLAC, OGG or WAV. 100% of the price goes to the musician.", "non_commercial" : "Non-commercial projects may use the music under CC BY-NC-SA 1.0: credit the artist and Magnatune, and share alike.", "projects" : "Magnatune members may use any Magnatune music in their projects, commercial or not (videos, films, podcasts, games, apps, websites, adverts), including work for clients, under the Magnatune Project Licence.
