{ "ok" : true, "artist" : { "name" : "Ozzie Cruse", "page" : "ozzie_cruse", "description" : "Organic, electric sounds for your synaptic pleasure", "location" : "CA, USA", "bio" : "Originally hailing from Saint Louis, MO, Ozzie Cruse dabbled with various instruments during his youth without finding his musical voice. Picking up playing bass at age 20 like a true late bloomer, Ozzie realized the instrument clicked with his sensibilities as he quickly displayed abilities of a natural bass player. Ozzie has always been a student of all types of music but this was accelerated by his voracious appetite for learning to play songs, new styles and fresh techniques.\n\nAfter rounding out rhythm sections for many bands in the St. Louis area, Ozzie began to experiment with original electronic songs, sample based creations and remixing his own band's songs. This change in creative approach gave him dynamic freedoms and allowed Ozzie to explore and create outside of the limits of the standard band environment of bass, guitar, keys and drums. Since relocating to Southern California, Ozzie has reached a creative stride while honing his tendencies of crossing into and mixing multiple genres naturally.\n\nOzzie strives to create a new and fresh 'dish' with each unique composition regardless of the ingredients used so grab a taste and enjoy the flavors.\n\nYou can check out more of Ozzie's tracks on Soundcloud.", "photo" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/img/ozzie_cruse_low.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/ozzie_cruse/", "albums" : [{ "sku" : "ozziecruse-nowyouvedoneit", "name" : "Now You've Done it", "artist" : { "name" : "Ozzie Cruse", "page" : "ozzie_cruse" }, "release_date" : "2017-07-01", "genres" : ["Jazz","Funk","Instrumental"], "vocals" : "instrumental", "moods" : ["playful","quirky","groovy","funky","sensual","energetic"], "uses" : ["vlog","podcast background","cafe or restaurant","lounge or bar","tech or product demo","explainer"], "energy" : 4, "instrumentation" : ["electric organ","jazz-inflected bass","big-beat drums","synths","male vocals"], "sounds_like" : [], "summary" : "A playful, funky, jazz-infused instrumental album with vocal tracks and big-beat grooves, ideal for upbeat background use in vlogs, podcasts, lounges, and tech explainers.", "cover" : "https://magnatune.com/music/Ozzie%20Cruse/Now%20You've%20Done%20it/cover_400.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/albums/ozziecruse-nowyouvedoneit/", "api_url" : "https://magnatune.com/api/albums/ozziecruse-nowyouvedoneit", "buy_url" : "https://magnatune.com/buy/album?sku=ozziecruse-nowyouvedoneit" },{ "sku" : "ozziecruse-selloutsofoz", "name" : "Sellouts of Oz", "artist" : { "name" : "Ozzie Cruse", "page" : "ozzie_cruse" }, "release_date" : "2017-05-26", "genres" : ["Jazz","Funk","Instrumental"], "vocals" : "instrumental", "moods" : ["energetic","groovy","funky","playful","uplifting"], "uses" : ["lounge or bar","cafe or restaurant","vlog","podcast background","travel","fashion or beauty"], "energy" : 4, "instrumentation" : ["organic electric sounds","big beats","jazz combo instrumentation","soul-infused pop"], "sounds_like" : [], "summary" : "A diverse, energetic jazz-funk instrumental album with soul and pop flavors, perfect for lounge settings, vlogs, and podcast backgrounds.", "cover" : "https://magnatune.com/music/Ozzie%20Cruse/Sellouts%20of%20Oz/cover_400.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/albums/ozziecruse-selloutsofoz/", "api_url" : "https://magnatune.com/api/albums/ozziecruse-selloutsofoz", "buy_url" : "https://magnatune.com/buy/album?sku=ozziecruse-selloutsofoz" }] }, "license" : { "music_license" : "Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 1.0 (CC BY-NC-SA 1.0)", "music_license_url" : "https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/1.0/", "listening" : "Stream the free previews, or buy an album for $8 to download it in MP3, AAC, ALAC, FLAC, OGG or WAV. 100% of the price goes to the musician.", "non_commercial" : "Non-commercial projects may use the music under CC BY-NC-SA 1.0: credit the artist and Magnatune, and share alike.", "projects" : "Magnatune members may use any Magnatune music in their projects, commercial or not (videos, films, podcasts, games, apps, websites, adverts), including work for clients, under the Magnatune Project Licence.
