Hollywood shock rock kings Rebel Rebel have it to burn. Not only did the band recently inspire its very own brand of hair gel from P/Taylor USA, but when they found themselves banned from most live L.A. venues for their infamous stage antics, they did what any true glam rocker would do: they opened their own nightclub.\n\n\"When you come to one of our shows, you don't know if you're going to get drunk with us or burn the place down, and that's what kids love today,\" says guitarist Teddy Heavens. They want to be scared and have a good time. NO RULES. We offer something to look at and participate in. Slam dancing and moshing are so boring. If you like being entertained and partying, then you'll love us.\"\n\nR2 influences include Kiss, Plasmatics, and Alice Cooper, and the band has collaborated with producers Jon Mathias (Meatloaf, Kiss) and Brian Kehew (Air, Alice Cooper). Explode Into Space is Rebel Rebel's 2005 release of deliciously riff heavy rock, and the band also recently kicked in contributions to Lost Anarchy and Hollywood Rocks-compilations of legedary L.A. glam bands including Poison, WASP, Stryper, Great White, and Warrant.\n\nKnown for their insanely fun, high energy live act, Rebel Rebel tours widely and recently performed at La Scene Bastille in Paris with Undercover Slut, as well as The Cat Club in West Hollywood and The Aristocrat in Las Vegas. Their tour was recently documented by a Fox News team, which followed the band around for a week. Rebel Rebel was also recently featured in Critical Vision's hilarious anthology of worst-ever road experiences, Gigs From Hell.", "photo" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/img/rebelrebel5.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/rebel_rebel/", "albums" : [{ "sku" : "rebel-explodenv", "name" : "Explode Into Space (vocals removed)", "artist" : { "name" : "Rebel Rebel", "page" : "rebel_rebel" }, "release_date" : "2026-10-22", "genres" : ["Hard Rock","Punk","Rock"], "vocals" : "vocals removed", "moods" : ["energetic","playful","aggressive","driving","uplifting"], "uses" : ["sports or action","gaming","trailer","workout or fitness","party or club","comedy"], "energy" : 5, "instrumentation" : ["riff-heavy rock","high energy rock and roll","vocals","spanish-language vocals"], "sounds_like" : [], "summary" : "A high-energy, riff-heavy glamtastic Hollywood shock rock album with swaggery tracks and Spanish bonus versions, ideal for action-packed or fun-focused media.", "cover" : "https://magnatune.com/music/Rebel%20Rebel/Explode%20Into%20Space%20(vocals%20removed)/cover_400.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/albums/rebel-explodenv/", "api_url" : "https://magnatune.com/api/albums/rebel-explodenv", "buy_url" : "https://magnatune.com/buy/album?sku=rebel-explodenv" },{ "sku" : "rebel-explode", "name" : "Explode Into Space", "artist" : { "name" : "Rebel Rebel", "page" : "rebel_rebel" }, "release_date" : "2006-01-31", "genres" : ["Hard Rock","Punk","Rock"], "vocals" : "vocals", "moods" : ["energetic","playful","aggressive","driving","uplifting"], "uses" : ["sports or action","gaming","trailer","workout or fitness","party or club","comedy"], "energy" : 5, "instrumentation" : ["riff-heavy rock","high energy rock and roll","vocals","spanish-language vocals"], "sounds_like" : [], "summary" : "A high-energy, riff-heavy glamtastic Hollywood shock rock album with swaggery tracks and Spanish bonus versions, ideal for action-packed or fun-focused media.", "cover" : "https://magnatune.com/music/Rebel%20Rebel/Explode%20Into%20Space/cover_400.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/albums/rebel-explode/", "api_url" : "https://magnatune.com/api/albums/rebel-explode", "buy_url" : "https://magnatune.com/buy/album?sku=rebel-explode" }] }, "license" : { "music_license" : "Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 1.0 (CC BY-NC-SA 1.0)", "music_license_url" : "https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/1.0/", "listening" : "Stream the free previews, or buy an album for $8 to download it in MP3, AAC, ALAC, FLAC, OGG or WAV. 100% of the price goes to the musician.", "non_commercial" : "Non-commercial projects may use the music under CC BY-NC-SA 1.0: credit the artist and Magnatune, and share alike.", "projects" : "Magnatune members may use any Magnatune music in their projects, commercial or not (videos, films, podcasts, games, apps, websites, adverts), including work for clients, under the Magnatune Project Licence.
