He began sometimes at the end of 90's when he experienced a first taste of early music production and DJ-ing mainly on simple hardware and PC. After moving to London a few years ago I met some very interesting people, who helped me to understood the natural beauty of composing on PC and new wide world of electronic music.\n\nIt started in the end of 1999 and early 2000 when I officially get my first PC sequencer (Fruity Loops) and started to produce my first sounds in Trance style under the DJ Markitos name. After a few years of experiencing and studying music software, sound engineering I decided to try different genre music than what I had been thus-far doing (which was mostly Trance and Techno). By experimenting in my home studio with my sample library I made my first new album under SOLAR CYCLE name, a style that I call a \"summer cocktail of Chill out House, Electronica and Ambient styles\".", "photo" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/img/solar_cycle.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/solar_cycle/", "albums" : [{ "sku" : "solarcycle-devotion", "name" : "Devotion", "artist" : { "name" : "Solar Cycle", "page" : "solar_cycle" }, "release_date" : "2017-12-01", "genres" : ["Electronica","Instrumental"], "vocals" : "vocals", "moods" : ["dreamy","calm","reflective","nostalgic","peaceful"], "uses" : ["lounge or bar","cafe or restaurant","study or focus","podcast background","sci-fi or space","meditation or yoga"], "energy" : 2, "instrumentation" : ["synths","electronic beats","smooth vocals","ambient textures"], "sounds_like" : [], "summary" : "A dreamy, calm blend of chillout, electronica, and ambient with retro-space-age themes—ideal for lounge settings, focus, or sci-fi projects.", "cover" : "https://magnatune.com/music/Solar%20Cycle/Devotion/cover_400.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/albums/solarcycle-devotion/", "api_url" : "https://magnatune.com/api/albums/solarcycle-devotion", "buy_url" : "https://magnatune.com/buy/album?sku=solarcycle-devotion" },{ "sku" : "solarcycle-flare", "name" : "Flare", "artist" : { "name" : "Solar Cycle", "page" : "solar_cycle" }, "release_date" : "2008-12-01", "genres" : ["Electronica"], "vocals" : "instrumental", "moods" : ["calm","dreamy","peaceful","reflective"], "uses" : ["cafe or restaurant","lounge or bar","meditation or yoga","spa or massage","study or focus","podcast background"], "energy" : 2, "instrumentation" : ["synths","smooth guitar","electronic textures","female vocals"], "sounds_like" : [], "summary" : "A calm, dreamy blend of chillout, electronica and ambient with smooth guitar and gentle vocals—ideal for relaxed settings like cafes, spas, or focused work.", "cover" : "https://magnatune.com/music/Solar%20Cycle/Flare/cover_400.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/albums/solarcycle-flare/", "api_url" : "https://magnatune.com/api/albums/solarcycle-flare", "buy_url" : "https://magnatune.com/buy/album?sku=solarcycle-flare" },{ "sku" : "solarcycle-silver", "name" : "Silver Lights", "artist" : { "name" : "Solar Cycle", "page" : "solar_cycle" }, "release_date" : "2007-11-30", "genres" : ["Electronica"], "vocals" : "vocals", "moods" : ["romantic","dreamy","sensual","elegant","calm","reflective"], "uses" : ["luxury brand","road trip","lounge or bar","romance","emotional storytelling","podcast background"], "energy" : 3, "instrumentation" : ["synths","drum machine","smooth electronic beats","male vocals"], "sounds_like" : [], "summary" : "A sophisticated, silvery downtempo house and ambient album with smooth electronic beats and vocals, ideal for luxury, romance, or relaxed atmospheric backgrounds.", "cover" : "https://magnatune.com/music/Solar%20Cycle/Silver%20Lights/cover_400.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/albums/solarcycle-silver/", "api_url" : "https://magnatune.com/api/albums/solarcycle-silver", "buy_url" : "https://magnatune.com/buy/album?sku=solarcycle-silver" },{ "sku" : "solarcycle-sunlight", "name" : "Sunlight", "artist" : { "name" : "Solar Cycle", "page" : "solar_cycle" }, "release_date" : "2005-09-05", "genres" : ["Electronica"], "vocals" : "vocals", "moods" : ["uplifting","dreamy","peaceful","calm","hopeful"], "uses" : ["podcast background","cafe or restaurant","lounge or bar","study or focus","meditation or yoga","travel"], "energy" : 3, "instrumentation" : ["synths","electronic beats","female vocals","ambient textures"], "sounds_like" : [], "summary" : "A warm, dreamy blend of chillout, electronica and ambient with gentle female vocals—ideal for relaxed, uplifting background in cafes, podcasts, travel videos or focus sessions.", "cover" : "https://magnatune.com/music/Solar%20Cycle/Sunlight/cover_400.jpg", "web_url" : "https://magnatune.com/artists/albums/solarcycle-sunlight/", "api_url" : "https://magnatune.com/api/albums/solarcycle-sunlight", "buy_url" : "https://magnatune.com/buy/album?sku=solarcycle-sunlight" }] }, "license" : { "music_license" : "Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 1.0 (CC BY-NC-SA 1.0)", "music_license_url" : "https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/1.0/", "listening" : "Stream the free previews, or buy an album for $8 to download it in MP3, AAC, ALAC, FLAC, OGG or WAV. 100% of the price goes to the musician.", "non_commercial" : "Non-commercial projects may use the music under CC BY-NC-SA 1.0: credit the artist and Magnatune, and share alike.", "projects" : "Magnatune members may use any Magnatune music in their projects, commercial or not (videos, films, podcasts, games, apps, websites, adverts), including work for clients, under the Magnatune Project Licence.
