Sounds of the Season by Aryeh Frankfurter Aryeh Frankfurter : Sounds of the Season.
Timeless and enchanting folk music for the soul.

This album brings together exquisite, timeless traditional winter holiday favorites infused with sensitivity, warmth and delicacy - all performed on the Celtic folk harp with light accompaniment on instruments such as violin, viola, guitar, recorder, pennywhistle and chimes. Beautiful music for any time of the year.

New Edition as of September 2007! This album was formerly called The Sound of Sleet. Early in 2007, I drew a number of pieces from The Sound of Sleet and re-recorded them for my Enchanted Way. Rather than offer repeated music, I opted to record new pieces, remix and re-master the music and re-title the album: Sounds of the Season. New tracks include: Baloo Baleerie, a lovely Scottish Christmas lullaby, I Wonder as I Wander, The Water Is Wide and a new rendering of Christ Child Lullaby Silent Night, Holy Night and Cold December Flies Away.

"Each year I try to find one holiday album with universal appeal. Aryeh Frankfurter simplified that search. The Sound of Sleet is filled with gentle, easily recognizable melodies, played to perfection by Northern California's favorite harpist. Whether you're trimming trees, gathered with faithful friends or snuggling by the fireplace, this disc is a perfect compliment for that special moment."
