Hans Christian : Rumi Symphony.
New age meets indian cello.
The Rumi symphony is a glowing, magical, passionate and profoundly inspiring
journey into the heart of the world's greatest mystic's experience of divine
love. It is a collaboration between Andrew Harvey, internationally acclaimed
spiritual teacher, Rumi scholar and translator, and the world renowned musician
and composer, Hans Christian.
Rumi is the world's greatest and most passionate and inspiring mystical poet. He
combined the philosophical intellect of a Plato or Kant and the soul force and
grandeur of a Buddha or Christ with the sublime literary gifts of a Shakespeare.
As millions of seekers of whatever religion or persuasion all over the world now
know: Rumi's extraordinary words have an unique power and initiatory effect. The
return of Rumi to the consciousness of the world is one of the great forces
behind our global mystical renaissance.
For many years Andrew Harvey dreamed of creating with a great musician, a Rumi
Symphony that would fuse together his translations and freshly composed music in
a complete unfolding of Rumi's vision of the path of divine love and passion.
When he heard Hans Christian's profound and wonderful playing during an
initiation into the Chartres Mystery School of Wisdom University in France, he
was overwhelmed with joy and knew that he had at last found the musician and
composer that had the musical virtuosity and depth of spirit that could create
exactly what he had dreamed of.
This holy work, The Rumi Symphony is the child of the marriage of their hearts
and gifts.
The music of this symphony carries Hans Christian's unique combination of
instruments that crosses any familiar stylistic boundaries and genres. At times
passionate and rousing, then again languishing and wanting, with assertive
rhythms that are contrasted by deeply sensitive spaces, the music works on
multiple levels to transport the listener into the world of spirit and mystique.
The journey is in four parts: in the first, "The Call" Rumi's words arouse the
heart to the core of the beloved. In the second, "Falling in Love", the heart
opens to the ecstasy of the love of the beloved. In the third "The Dark Night"
the heart undergoes the death into eternal life. In the fourth, "Divine Union"
the heart revels in the peace and passion of identity with God.
This sublime symphony will prove an ideal inspiration for your meditation and
your search for God. An instrumental version of the Rumi Syphony is also
included as a second album.
