John Holowach leads us into his assemblage of cleanly elegant downtempo electronic tracks with some spare, astringent strings, then opens things up significantly with trip-hop influences, haunting echoes of classical, and a wonderfully airy, spacious feeling overall. Elements is a beautifully chilled out album, but also a subtly crisp and energizing one—a great choice to play at work.
